Cole Palmer Makes Manchester City Debut
Youngster Impresses in Carabao Cup Win
Palmer Scores First Goal for City
Manchester City youngster Cole Palmer made his first-team debut for the club on Wednesday night, starting in the Carabao Cup fourth round clash with Burnley.
The 18-year-old, who has been with City since the age of eight, played 60 minutes in the 3-0 win over the Championship side and impressed with his performance.
Palmer is a highly-rated prospect and has been compared to City legend David Silva in the past. He has been training with the first team for the past year and has made a big impression on manager Pep Guardiola.
Palmer's debut was a sign of the progress he has made in recent months and he is now firmly in Guardiola's plans. With Silva leaving the club at the end of the season, Palmer could be given the chance to stake a claim for a regular starting spot in the coming months.
Palmer's goal on 21 September 2021 was a sign of his potential and he will be hoping to add to his tally in the coming weeks.
